  • Annual Drug Screening for Members

    Our Annaul Drug Testing for members is scheduled for:

     Friday, July 13 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm  at Illinois Valley Contractors Association located at 1120 First Street Lasalle, IL 61301

    Saturday, July 14 from 7:00am to 12pm {12:00-1:00 closed for lunch}

    1:00 to 4:00 at Ironworkers Local 444 union Hall located at 2082 Oakleaf Street Joliet, IL

    These dates are scheduled to give our membership the convience of having their annual test after work hours around the same time every year.

  • The Apptitude test date for Apprenticship

    Test will be held May 12th and will begin promptly at 10:00a.m. There will be no admittance after 10:00a.m. Applicants should bring a Photo ID and 2- number 2 pencils.

    NOTICE Ironworkers Local 444 APPRENTICESHIP

    Ironworkers Local 444 will be accepting applications for possible openings in our apprenticeship program. Applications will be available Monday through Friday, 4/23/2018 through 5/4/2018 from 8am to Noon. Also Saturday, 4/28/2018 from 8am to Noon.

    You must:

    1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

    2. Must have a valid driver’s license.

    3. Original Certified birth certificate.

    4. Provide proof of residency in Local 444 jurisdictions at the time of application and      be legally eligible to work in the United States.

    5. Apply in person at 2082 Oak Leaf St., Joliet, IL from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

    6. Have your high school diploma or equivalent.

    7. High school and post high school transcripts.

    8. DD214 for military experience.

    9. Applicant must have reliable transportation.

    Applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable $25.00 test processing fee. There is a study guide available upon request for an additional $15.00. Please pay by cashier’s check, money order, debit or credit card. If paying by credit or debit card a nominal fee will apply. No cash or personal checks will be accepted.

  • RSVP for The John Hancock Seminar

    Saturday June 3rd, Local 444 is hosting a John Hancock Seminar for members to learn more about  their SMA accounts. Please call the Union Hall to RVSP, Spouses are welcome to attend.

    The Seminar will take place at the Local 174 carpenters hall from 8:00am-10:30am located at 1407 Essington Road, Joliet IL 60436.

  • Voting For Delegates

    Voting for delegates to the 2016 International Convention will be held at the union hall from 3:30 to 7:00 pm Monday April 11, 2016.

    Local 444 has 6 delegate positions to fill.  There are 10 candidates on the ballot: Michael Sinchak, Richard Plese, Dennis Bailey, Paul Arambasich, Kevin Hray, Matthew Gregory, Tony Sinchak, Dennis Murry, Jeff Crompton, Kenneth Kobus.The general membership meeting will start at 7:00 and the results of the election will be announced at the meeting.

  • 12/14/15 Membership Meeting

    The next general membership meeting is December 14, 2015 at 7:00 PM.  Our friends from Anesi & Ozmon are hosting a pizza party at the union hall prior to the regular meeting for the members.  Please attend.

  • Run-Off Recording Secretary Election

    There will be a "run-off" election for Recording Secretary October 12, 2015 prior to the next regular scheduled meeting.  The candidates who tied in the regular election are Kevin Cummings and Rich Plese.. Voting will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the meeting.  A current dues receipt will be required to vote.
